This Month in Music - January
January Musical Learning Goals:
Kindergarten: I can kinesthetically, aurally, and visually identify the steady beat of the music.
1st Grade: I can kinesthetically, aurally, and visually identify one sound per beat and two sounds per beat.
2nd Grade: I can kinesthetically, aurally, and visually identify a sound that lasts for two beats.
3rd Grade: I can develop criteria for a high quality musical performance and use that criteria to guide and direct my effort and practice.
4th Grade: I can develop the correct playing technique to perform songs with C, F, and G7 Chords on the Ukulele.
5th Grade: I can self-monitor my practice in order to develop my skills as a musician through the playing of the recorder.
